Ky-An and Ai-Vy's Development

Ky-An

• Ky-An has been whiney and is at his "MINE" stage. Even though he still shares with his little sister if we make him, he is still the possessive monster that we though we had avoid.
  
  
• Hieu's family is visiting before Thanksgiving and I was drilling Ky-An with their pictures so he won't be a stranger when they arrived. I was pointing to Hieu's sister telling him that's "Co Dung" meaning Auntie Dung. He repated after me "Co Dung" then he ran off to the toy shelf. I thought he just lost interest when he's digging through the tray. He took out a worm and ran up to me grinning "Con Giun Con Giun" meaning worm in Vietnamese!!! We were about die laughing
  
  
• He can sing the entire alphabet song and the "Twinkle Twinkle" star song clearly.
  
  
• He is talking in full sentences and even starts to make up his own imaginative things when he's playing. For example, he would put a little car on top of another car and said "big car pulling little car because little car broken."

Ai-Vy

• Ai-Vy has been surrounded by soft things ever since she was a baby. Whenever she sleeps, she has to have all her blankets surrounding her..and only the softest ones. One of her favorite blanket is the NAP one that my little sister gave her because they bought this one for 50% off. What am I trying to say here? Yes, she's a little spoil..just a tad.
  
  
• She's walking around everywhere now. When she first started walking, she'll have to have a point of destination before she would take off. Now she just wanders around the room and hardly crawls anymore.
  
  
• Whenever she walks around, she has to hold something in her hand. It can be something as large as a blanket or as small as a spoon.
  
  
• She FINALLY holds her own bottle to drink! LOL.
  
  
• She knows to point to her head when we ask here it is and stomach whenever we ask where her big tummy is.
  
  
• She can say so many words now:
  
  
• She would say "tan-tooh" for "thank you" whenever you hand her something or if she hands something to you.
  
  
• Today I was feeding her rice and she got some on her fingers. She showed it to me so I can wipe it and said "tay tay" for hand.
  
  
• This morning she asked for my brush that was on the counter, she took it and proceed to brush her hair. The brush was too heavy so it tilt to one side and she goes "te", the word for fall. After a while I put the brush back on the counter and went into the kitchen. I cam back out to find her climbing on top of the couch trying to get to the brush.
  
  
• Whenever she holds a blanket or something soft in her hands, she'll put it against her cheeks and tilt her head into it to say "nigh nigh".
  
  
• "chay" for run
  
  
• She would open her shoebox, close it and put her hands on top and goes "day" for close. She would then open it and goes "ra".
  
  
• Every morning when she wakes up, she'll point to the door and say "ra ngoai" for going outside
  
• "nuoc" for water
  
• "appy baby"
  
• "oh wow" when something fancies her
  
• She'll shake her head and say "no" or "no-no" if she doesn't want something. She would also would put her point finger up and shake it while saying "No-No!" (Just like mommy)
  
• "pat-pat" whenever she see a rocket or Little Einsteins
  
• "bay" for flying or if she sees an airplane
  
• "uh-oh" whenever she drops something
  
• "yai yai" for shoes
  
• "la cay" for leaves
  
• "ca" for fish
  
• "vit cap cap" for duck quack quack
  
• "dau" for head
  
• "hi"
  
• "len lau" for going upstairs
  
• "tam tam" for bath time
  
• "ta" for changing diaper. She'll grab everything that is associates with diaper changing as "ta" such as the powder bottle, wipes, and diapers.
  
• "No moh" for no more
  
• "nuoc" for water
  
• "Yuckie"
  
• "Owie" whenever she hurts herself
