A new trike for Ky-An

Ky-An loves getting on this little girl's bike at the babysitter's place. Her back hurts because she has to lean over to hold him and the bike so he can "ride" it. In addition, it's a bike with training wheels so it's not that safe for him to be on there. Hieu decides to get him a tricycle with the handle in the back for you to push so he did some research. We brave the rain and head to Target and Toys R' Us on Sunday to look for the tricycle Hieu wanted to buy for him. The one he wanted was not available but it was $70! I can't justify spending that much money on something he'll outgrow by next year. I am sure by the time he's 3 he will want a regular bike with training wheels instead of a tricycle. After looking at some cheapr trikes, Hieu said they are not good because they flip over easily and the handle breaks. So we decide that we like this one but it's $60!! We went home without buying and I looked at the Toys R' Us sales booklet to find out that the same trike will be on sale on 7/8 for $35!!! How great is that??!! Hieu called the store and they said we can buy it now and bring the receipt back on 7/8 and they'll adjust the price for us. They said if we wait until 7/8 then the item may ran out. I made sure Hieu talk with the manager about it before he made the purchase. It's time like this that all my time spent pouring over the sales ad is worth it!!!
