Week of Ky-An Learned – Week of October 19

• Fall is the season that comes after summer
• Discussed that days become shorter, the temperature gets cooler, the animals start collecting food for winter, and leaves begin to change color from fall from the trees.

Language and Literacy/Mucho Mundo:

• Listened to the book “Cold Little Duck Duck Duck”
• Leaned “manzana” for apple and “maiz” for corn. 

Science and Technology:

• Tasted red, yellow, and green apples

Creative Arts and Expression:

• Created fall paper fingerprint trees and fall headbands out of construction paper.

Mathematics:

• Introduced “first, next, and last”

Physical Development and Health:

• Exercised to “Greg and Steve’s Big Fun”

Social-Emotional Development/Character Development:

• Read the book “The Little Hen” which emphasizes the importance of cooperation
