What Ky-An is up to nowadays...

  • He likes to stomp his feet and turn in circles when he's "dancing".

  • He is getting more adventurous with his mobility and try to climb and stand everywhere. On the chair, couch, table, whatever.

  • He is trying to run and will walk in tipee-toe when he does.

  • He has a obsession with brush and combs and likes to brush his short hair or your hair if you'll let him. After he's done, we'll say "thank you" and he'll repeat us saying "ti ti".

  • He likes to brush his own teeth and he can pull it in and out like he's really brushing them.

  • If he doesn't like something you feed him, he'll turn his head away, shake it, and say "noube" our "yube".

  • He loves to put his hand under the faucet and let the water run through his hands. Whenever we wash the dishes, he'll come running and scream until we let him feel the water.

  • If he wants your attention or knows he's getting into trouble, he'll get up to your face and give you a big wrinkly-nosed grin.

  • If you kneel on your knees and extend your arms, he'll run up and give you a hug.

  • He knows to lay down if you say "inh inh".

  • He hates laying down to change his diaper so we have to get used to put on his diaper standing up (except the stinky ones of course).

  • If you tell him to "ahhhhh", he'll say "ahhh" and open his mough. It's a great way to tell if he still has food in his mouth during meals.

  • He loves to grab my finger and try to put it in his mouth pretending to bite it. I then pull it back quickly pretending I am scare and he cracks up laughing.

  • He knows how to play "vo tay ba cho an banh" and put his hands over his head during the appropriate verse.

  • He will take a drink of water and goes "ahhhhh" afterward.

  • Yesterday I was putting him to bed and was reading to him. I then laid down pretending to sleep and he's just sitting on the bed reading by himself. He looked up and realized I was sleeping and his pull my hand up to hold the book and flip to the page when I said "baby" before and goes "bibi bibi". It was so cute I had to get up and tell him what a good reader he is. I was flipping through the pages with him again and he lean down to kiss the book whenever there is a baby on it. So sweet.

  • He will try to lift your head up or your whole body up if you are laying there "sleeping".

  • He likes to drag around his fuzzy blanket and lay on top of it to sleep. He likes to sleep on his stomach now and he never did before.

  • He'll go grab his purple milk bag in the morning and bring daddy's shoes to him so they can leave.

  • If you give him a choice of shoes then he'll pick one and make you take it off if you put on the wrong one.

  • He loves it whenever I have my blowdryer on in the morning and would run to the bathroom whenever he hears it. He likes it when I point it at his head (cool air of course).

  • He likes to try and feed himself meals. He'll eat more whenever you let him do that.
  • If you hand him the sippy cup, he'll scream because he thinks you are trying to make him go to sleep. Sippy cups make him sleepy. If you just leave it out then he'll drink it when he's good and ready. :)
  • He still hates sleeping and will throw a tantrum everytime. Even if he's sitting on the bed with his eyes closed, he'll still cry because he's tired but doesn't want to sleep. It's like he can't associate that he has to lay down in order to go to sleep.

This is such a great collection of thoughts. They are exactly the types of things we forget as they get older. One day you will look back and re-read these and exact recollections of baby Ky-An. Aww!
