Ky-An and Ai-Vy's Development

Ky-An

  • Ky-An has develop some odd fears. He is now very scare of the dark so he would not walk anywhere that is a little dark. When he goes to bed at night, we have to also turn on the night light on his side of the bed. I have to turn it off after he goes to sleep because it’s too bright and it cause Ai-Vy to wake up in the middle of the night thinking it’s time to play.

  • He taught me a little birdie song in Vietnamese that his babysitter taught him.

  • I think he misses the cuddling the babysitter and I give him because he’s been super clingy every since school started. He clings to me and tries to cuddle with me everywhere after school every day. He also makes me lay in bed at night with him and cuddle up with me to go to sleep. I don’t mind it one bit but I really hope it’s just a phase. His teacher asked me today if he’s an only child. Wonder what she mean by that??!!

  • I was trying to teach Ky-An right turns and left turns when we were driving in the car. I had to do a U-turn and told him “Mommy is making a U-turn!” Ky-An immediately replied and goes “NOooo it’s not MY turn!!” I couldn’t stop laughing and he started laughing also.

Ai-Vy

  • One day Ai-Vy came home and I tell her something at the dinner table and she argued with me “hong phai” meaning not right. I told “phai” and she goes “hong phai”. I kept it going several more times because I thought it was so funny. Then she asked to come down from the table and then walk around going “hong biet” meaning don’t know and put both hands up with a little shrug. Hieu and I looked at each other in disbelief.
